History

When a handshake bound a contract and intuition and tenacity guided many business dealings, Haselden Construction was established.

Jim Haselden - Founder

Jim Haselden opened his construction business in 1973 with the Leyden Garage Remodel, a fleet garage for Mountain Bell Telephone (now Qwest) in Denver, Colorado.  Having worked in the industry for twenty years, Mr. Haselden felt it was the right time to forge his own trail.

Since then, Haselden Construction has experienced sustained growth in revenues and employees. With this growth, we developed a deepening passion for the work we do. Nearly four decades later, Haselden continues to be a major commercial constructor in Colorado, Wyoming, and the Western states. A few of the company’s signature projects include:

  • The ACE Award winning Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion on the University of Colorado Hospital’s Anschutz Medical Campus;
  • One Steamboat Place, a luxury condominium and mixed-use complex at the base of Steamboat Springs Ski and Resort;
  • Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, one of the first high shools in the USA to be awarded LEED® Silver by the USGBC;
  • The new Research Support Facilities (RSF) for the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado. The RSF is intended to become a prototype energy-efficient office building and exceed the LEED Platinum rating.

Haselden Construction has witnessed an evolution in design and construction practices, methodologies, and technologies since 1973. True to our core value of Entrepreneurial Spirit, we continually encourage idea generation and risk-taking among our employees to influence this evolution.

While the company embraces the continuous changes in the construction environment, one thing remains constant: Our deep passion for the work we do. We are proud to say “I built it.”
