As the Division Manager of Haselden Construction’s Education Division, I have the distinct pleasure of sharing my personal commitment to education through the construction of educational facilities that meet the needs of students well into the future. I am a firm believer in Winston Churchill’s philosophy that “we shape our buildings and then our buildings shape us.” Nowhere is this more true than in the buildings that provide our communities with education. As a father of two, I am personally invested in the strength of our educational systems and the buildings that house them.
My team shares my beliefs and commitment and are equally passionate about the work they do. To that end, we focus on understanding not just the building components but how each school uniquely functions – from its philosophy to its curriculum -- to provide the best services in collaboration with the project’s owner, architect and faculty. Our dedicated team of education builders keep apprised of new technology and how the facilities we build together will be best equipped to remain flexible to meet the demands of the world's ever-changing technology.
We share your drive towards creating an innovative approach to learning. Our goal is to ensure your building functions as another teacher through its sustainable and energy efficient features as well as the building mechanics and systems. In addition to helping schools develop buildings that teach, another area that the Division is committed to is using our education facility construction sites as teaching tools. We have created programs for every age of students, kindergarten through higher education. These programs use the jobsite and the jobsite staff to illustrate building-related concepts in science, technology, engineering and mathematics both on-site and in classroom settings.
