Byron Haselden

President & Chief Executive Officer

Byron Haselden is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Haselden Construction and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. He is responsible for setting the strategic vision, overseeing performance across core business areas, and cultivating key relationships with current and prospective clients. Byron is deeply committed to fostering a strong, people-first culture that empowers employees and elevates the customer experience. He continuously seeks new ways to enhance the service Haselden provides while championing a strong values driven workplace.

With over 20 years of experience in construction management, Byron brings a well-rounded perspective to his leadership role. He began his career as a laborer and has held positions across nearly every facet of the industry, including serving as Vice President of Preconstruction, giving him a deep understanding of project execution and team dynamics. His hands-on experience and strategic mindset enable him to connect authentically with both clients and employees.

JJ Rams

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, JJ helps lead Operations, Preconstruction, Business Development, Haselden Builders, and Haselden Montana, driving alignment across departments to deliver a seamless client experience from concept to completion. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, he has overseen more than $1 billion in public and private construction projects, with a strong focus on mountain resort developments and complex municipal infrastructure. JJ’s leadership ensures operational excellence and smooth transitions at every stage of a project.

Jarrod Fugate

Chief Risk Officer

As a Chief Risk Officer, Jarrod is responsible for the overall management, procurement and operations of the On-Call Division, Environmental Health and Safety Department, Training, Enterprise Risk Management, and Haselden’s Self-Perform Divisions, including Concrete and Interiors. Leading the market, mentoring employees, and growing each portion of the company is a primary focus.

Each Department is led to ensure that all Haselden systems, procedures and policies are properly implemented in accordance with the requirements of the project. Jarrod oversees and helps coordinate the activities and goals of the owner and architect to complete the project while maintaining the owner's objectives.

Derek Oliver

HRS President

Derek Oliver is the President of HRS, Haselden's property restoration, environmental, and roofing services company. Derek guides HRS's strategic direction and growth while ensuring that customers receive the best service in the industry. Derek has been with Haselden for 20 years and has served in many roles including Preconstruction Manager, Wyoming Division Manager, and Vice President. Derek is a graduate of the Construction Management program at Colorado State University.

Amanda Sparks Alvarez

Vice President Human Resources

Amanda has been at Haselden for 10 years . As Vice President of Human Resources, she leads strategic people initiatives that foster organizational growth, strengthen company culture, and elevate talent acquisition and employee engagement. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and has brought her expertise to the commercial construction industry since 2013.

Under Amanda’s leadership, Haselden has been recognized as a Denver Post Top Workplace for ten consecutive years—a testament to her commitment to cultivating an exceptional employee experience. She has played a key role in scaling HR operations to support the company’s growth, enhancing workforce planning, and driving leadership development initiatives across all levels of the organization. Amanda is known for building high-performing teams and aligning human capital strategies with business objectives to drive long-term success.

Christian Ekstrom

Vice President of Preconstruction

Christian leads our Preconstruction Department which consists of preconstruction managers, senior estimators, and project estimators. Christian has been with Haselden for over 21 years and was Haselden’s first intern back in 1995! He is a graduate of the Construction Management program at Colorado State University. Christian has been the lead estimator for billions of dollars in construction in myriad market sectors, such as hospitality, education, and healthcare.

CJ Harvey

Vice President of Operations

CJ Harvey is the Vice President of Operations at Haselden Construction, bringing 19 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. He leads our operations department with a focus on excellence, overseeing field teams and driving the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. CJ plays a key role in strategic planning, workforce development, and continuous improvement efforts across the company. He is known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to building strong client and partner relationships, he contributes to Haselden’s long-term success and sustainable growth in Colorado and beyond.

Eric Blanke

Vice President of Business Development

Eric is a graduate of Western Colorado University, and has been with Haselden for over 30 years. Eric worked in the field as a Superintendent for over 15 years, building primarily complex healthcare and hospitality projects in some of Colorado’s premier mountain destinations. For the last decade plus, Eric has been working in Business Development, leveraging his vast experience as a builder to provide Haselden’s customers with innovative solutions. Eric initially focused on serving Haselden’s healthcare clients, and has moved into the role of Vice President of Business Development, overseeing procurement for all sectors across the company. Eric leads by example - cultivating strong relationships, proposing creative solutions to complex project challenges, and focusing on people as he guides Haselden’s efforts to earn and maintain client trust.

Robyn Averbach

General Counsel / Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management

Robyn supports Haselden Construction’s Vision to be a Great Builder by providing legal counsel and strategic guidance on a wide range of legal, business, and governance issues capitalizing on over twenty years of wide range legal experience in the construction industry and a creative and collaborative approach to problem solving.  Robyn oversees Haselden’s legal, compliance, and risk management functions by proactively identifying and mitigating risk throughout the organization associated with Haselden’s operational, strategic, and contractual endeavors.  In addition to her legal experience, Robyn is a Colorado certified mediator, having participated in and conducted hundreds of mediations throughout her legal career and brings a unique set of legal skills to Haselden and its clients.

Brent Haselden

Haselden Builders President

Brent graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management and later completed his MBA at the University of Denver. After beginning his career in Texas at Sundt Construction, he returned to Haselden eventually becoming a Preconstruction Manager. In 2021, Brent founded Haselden Builders in partnership with Haselden Construction after an increased desire from their commercial clients to expand to the build-for-rent and multifamily markets. He has put in place over $500 million. His depth of knowledge of development, building systems, and production-based construction provides clients with confidence and clarity in their construction process.

David Marsh

Vice President of On-Call

David graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management and has been with Haselden Construction for over 20 years. He is instrumental in driving the growth and expansion of the On-Call division, working closely with his team to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions for clients across Colorado. The On-Call division specializes in projects ranging from $100K to $25M, with a strong emphasis on complex, occupied, phased renovations, additions, and new build projects. Known for his collaborative approach, Dave is committed to fostering teamwork and maintaining Haselden’s reputation for excellence as the division continues to thrive.

Daniel Bates

President of Haselden Montana Constructors

Daniel Bates is the President of Haselden Montana Constructors, bringing over a decade of experience with Haselden Construction. He previously served as a Senior Preconstruction Manager, where he played a key role in several high-profile projects, including the Intermountain Health Lutheran Replacement Hospital and the Medical Center of the Rockies Expansion. Dan has also served as a project manager for both the higher education and K-12 markets, giving him unique insight into all phases of a project and what makes each successful. He consistently delivers exceptional projects through his innate ability to solve complex problems and build strong relationships across all stakeholders. With a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Brigham Young University - Idaho, Daniel is also a certified DBIA Professional and LEED A.P., underscoring his commitment to construction excellence.
