Haselden Construction Breaks Ground on Renovation and Addition at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies.

New project marks the latest collaboration in a two-decade long partnership between Haselden and UCHealth.

Loveland, CO (December 18, 2023) – The anticipated renovation and addition at the UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies is officially underway. Hospital staff and dignitaries symbolically broke ground in a ceremony held on December 18, 2023, on the hospital campus. The expansion comes as Northern Colorado has seen unprecedented growth over the past decade, with both Larimer and Weld counties in the top five fastest growing areas in the state.

“We are honored to partner with UCHealth on the renovation and expansion of their MCR Campus. This project will truly benefit the community and help better serve the residents of Northern Colorado by expanding access to a higher quality of care,” shared Byron Haselden, President and CEO of Haselden Construction. “Haselden looks forward to our continued two decade partnership with UCHealth as we embark on this project.”

The development will add a five-story tower serving trauma-surgical, medical-surgical, and surgical-ICU inpatients, including a new emergency entrance. There will also be a cancer center featuring high-dose radiation therapy, with additional parking. The project will expand imaging capabilities with additional services for CT, ultrasound, and MRI, an added radiology suite, and add additional patient rooms. The expansion of cancer care is especially crucial to the community as current high dose radiation patients must commute to Denver for treatment.

Haselden Construction has been working with UCHealth over the past several years throughout the preconstruction process and construction of the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion Tower 3. They previously completed the prior two towers on the Anschutz campus, as well as the UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital.
