The Aura at Snowmass Breaks Ground

The Aura at Snowmass is officially underway! As we continue our partnership with East West Partners and 4240 Architects to expand the Base Village at Snowmass, we couldn’t be more excited to begin work on this project we have all been envisioning for the past two years. The Aura marks the first expansion out of the heart of the village, sitting directly at the base of the mountain with incredible views on both sides.

A hallmark of this project will be its sustainability. Building off the successes and innovations in sustainability from the Electric Pass Lodge, Aura will be 100% powered by electric energy. This doesn’t mean sacrificing elements of mountain luxury. Every detail has been thought through to provide comfort and classic style without sacrificing sustainability – even the fireplaces have been swapped with vapor fireplaces that still give the same look and feel as a gas fireplace! Not only will the final building meet stringent sustainability requirements, but the actual construction will as well. We are utilizing cross laminated timber in place of steel which is more sustainable in both its production and in the building’s final use. It has been the mission of East West Partners and the town to create a base village that will protect what we love best about Snowmass – the outdoors! We are honored to help bring that mission to life.
