Haselden provided construction services for this brand new PK-8 neighborhood school that serves the tight-knit Dacono community. The new 46,000 square foot replacement school sits on 13 acres and has an enrollment of 300 students.

The new Kenneth Homyak PK-8 school features classrooms and flex spaces, library, cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, music and art room, as well as a dedicated administration area. Site work was also done to provide a bus loop, parent drop-off, parking areas, playgrounds, and landscaping.

Kenneth Homyak is described as the “heart” of Dacono. The school welcomes all neighbors, students, parents, staff, and families as the gathering place that ties everyone in the community together.

The school’s design features classroom views of the Rocky Mountains, while the cafeteria opens to a direct connection to playgrounds, an outdoor classroom and a dining patio. The front entry was designed with a front porch feel as you walk along the classroom wing to the main entry.
